I can take the best photo and be so critical that I never post it. I can take myself out of a great idea but it means nothing until I execute.

Imagine your favorite song never being written, the entrepreneur never creating their brand, or the writer never turning in their 1st draft. Well that’s me, π™°πš πšπš’πš–πšŽπšœ.
The fear of failure and seeking perfectionism has harmed me. That’s why balance is so important. I still want to be my best and give my best… while delivering who I am daily, unfiltered.

My Professor once told me this as I turned in my paper late for the second time, β€œTreasure, done is better than perfect, please just turn it in.” Fighting the urge to complete it and move on.

I’m learning, it hurts less each time I become more vulnerable. I’m learning that I’ll never know victory until I actually run my own race. I’m building confidence daily…

I’m so inspired by reading others blog posts, seeing that they’ve been writing for years, and several hundred posts later, they’re still going. It reminds me that I will not know what it feels like to achieve my goals until I take those steps DAILY. I am so grateful for the readers, I am grateful for the idea, and I am grateful for the writers and bloggers who have paved the way.

I am so happy and grateful for the lessons, this blog teaches me. Each day I express myself in a post, I feel light, bright, mellow and inspired.

  1. Treasure, I loved your transparency throughout the post. Like your professor said β€œDone is Better Than Perfect” 😊. Sometimes we focus so much on the outcome before we even begin the project. In our effort to make something perfect, we prolong the process by all the thoughts that run throughout our minds. A blank canvas won’t always remain a blank canvas if only we choose for it to remain positioned in the store. God is the Creator and everything He created is perfect. We on the other hand aren’t but there is beauty in the process. So must start and we willing to journey along. Thank you for sharing and shedding light on this topic βœ¨πŸ€—

    1. Good morning, thank you Karen, for such a detailed and heart felt response. I agree and β€œthere is beauty in the process” stands out to me, β€œthere is growth in the process”… God is shaping us in every single thing we decide to do. May you be continually blessed πŸ’•
